MUNICH, GERMANY – April 9, 2013 – It’s time for bauma, the largest construction trade fair in the world, and McCloskey International is there.

Outside at Open Air  F7 N722/4, McCloskey is showcasing six world-class machines: the C38 Cone Crusher, I44R Recirculating Impact Crusher, J44 Jaw Crusher, R105 Durable Vibrating Screener, S80 High Energy Screener and a TS4065 tracked stacker. It’s a 741 m2 (7,976 ft2) display of the latest equipment for crushing, screening and stacking, including the optional bogie ready feature showcased on all three crushers on display. This feature allows operators to attach a wheeled bogie unit directly to the machine, eliminating the need for a trailer.

Inside, Stand B2 #125 features a relaxed 110m² (1,184ft²) space where visitors are welcomed to speak with McCloskey representatives and get more information on the company and its products.

McCloskey Vertical Shaft Impactor Makes Debut at AGG1

V80 now available for North American customers

March 18, 2013 -- Peterborough, ON – The McCloskey International V80 Vertical Shaft Impactor will make its North American debut at The World of Asphalt/AGG1 show in San Antonio, Texas from March 19-21, 2013.

The McCloskey V80 (VSI) has been designed to be one of the most efficient vertical shaft impactors on the market for producing high specification sealing aggregates, a high proportion of fines required for main roads / road-base, or manufactured sand. This heavy duty track mounted Vertical Shaft Impactor features a host of user friendly features, and reflects McCloskey’s commitment to reliable and durable equipment.

 The first North American dealer to stock the V80 will be McCourt and Sons of LaGrange, Texas. “We have had enormous success with the McCloskey crusher lines including the jaw, cone and impactors,” said Paul McCourt, Owner and President of McCourt and Sons Equipment Inc. “Carrying the VSI product will allow us to offer even more options to our customers to help them grow their business – no matter what the application.”

The V80 has a CEMCO Turbo T-80 VSI crusher, and a powerful 430 Hp C13 CAT engine. The sturdy I-beam plate fabricated chassis construction lends itself to the most heavy duty applications, along with its long-wearing Hardox hopper sides adding to is durability and strength.

 The McCloskey V80 also offers a number of internal rotor/rockbox/anvil configurations that are suited for all applications, The feed rate is controlled via control panel, remote control or fully automatic regulation via feedback from the VSI.  The main conveyor has a large stockpile capacity (10’ – 8”) as a result of the standard extended 42” conveyor, and the large access between crusher discharge and the main conveyor feedboot. The V80 also features an integrated hopper with folding rear door.

As with all McCloskey equipment, ease of maintenance is a strong advantage for the V80. The Control Panel is user-friendly and has machine diagnostics that can drastically reduce downtime for maintenance. The open chassis design adds to the ease of maintaining the V80, as well as the hydraulic raise/lower lid on the crushing chamber.                                                            

With the advantage of McCloskey’s integrated and highly efficient hydraulics, better fuel economy is realized. The V80 boasts a fast setup time, due to its folding hoppers and conveyors. Easy to move from site to site, the V80  has transport dimensions of 52’ - 7” (16.02m) long, 9’ – 6” wide (2.9m) and 11’-2” (3.4m) high weighing in at 85,980 lbs. (39,000 kgs).

With additional options like a roll-in bogie system, main conveyor variable speed control, Interlock systems, hopper extensions, and a metal detector to protect the VSI along with robust standard safety features, the V80 is high performance and productive.

HPE Africa introduces McCloskey International range of equipment to local market

New dealer will stock full line of equipment for local market

PETERBOROUGH, ON – March 7, 2013 – McCloskey International  has officially named High Power Equipment (HPE) Africa as its sole Southern Africa distributor for its full line of crushing, screening, stacking and recycling equipment.

HPE Africa will stock and distribute the entire range of McCloskey International equipment, which is divided into four main products groups that include; stock piling conveyors, crushers, trommel screens – aimed at the organic and recycling markets, and vibratory screeners, which are aimed at the aggregate market.

McCloskey International vice president of sales John O’Neill notes that Africa is a key target market for the company. "To date, McCloskey International has only had a small presence in Africa. Due to the comprehensive product range that the company boasts, the decision was made to have full dealer support through HPE Africa in order to ensure that local customers are being provided with full value added service."

As a result, they have been designed to be reliable, operator friendly and easy to maintain. These are the features that African-based operations will be looking for in their machinery."

O'Neill highlights the fact that McCloskey International selected HPE Africa as its local distributor of choice because the companies share similar business values. "HPE Africa has already imported two direct feed screens for a customer in Durban, in addition to two jaw crushers and three S-Type hopper fed screens for another customer in Johannesburg. There has also been a keen interest displayed from existing and potential customers, and we have had a large number of walk in enquiries from people that have seen the McCloskey International range of equipment in the HPE Africa yard."

The world’s largest independent screening and crushing equipment manufacturer, McCloskey International  experienced rapid its expansion in 2012, with sixty percent growth overall, a 30% increase in workforce and the addition of over 136,000 in square footage to its plants in Canada and Northern Ireland over the past year.  McCloskey will be completing an expansion project on its facility in Canada in 2013, before undertaking further expansion on the company's facility in Northern Ireland - in order to keep up with a sustained rise in global demand. Bearing these trends in mind, O'Neill is confident of obtaining measurable market share in Africa.
